On Thursday February 16th there was a substitute. I kind of ran the class. I guided students in making predictions about the story based on context clues. I read the children a circus read aloud. They were able to predict what the animals might do next based on how they were treated throughout the story. The students were also introduced to simple multiplication. We did problems like 7 + 7 and tried to attach them to a different equation such as 7 x 2. Overall, this week my weakness was being able to jump right in when the teacher is not present. My strengths were that I was not overwhelmed. I paced myself when going over something.
